New Short Story
My new short story, Human Terms, appears in the July 2023 issue of “Literature Today”. You can get the book or e-book to read it.
Stop Following Me
It was his idea to divide everything. Jasper looked up to his brother Jonas, but maybe there’s something wrong with that.
From the book: ““For many years, there’s been sightings in Old Fort, North Carolina near Curtis Creek close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and up around the Geyser. Usually, there’s more than one. Sometimes physical evidence is left behind. This pack is unusual, though, because they come back. It’s best to make peace with them just in case you come face to face with one.”
“Let him turn vinegar into wine if he thought he could.”

Chasing Sunsets
New poetry book, Chasing Sunsets, of poems about Charleston, Daniel Island and of course Sunsets, now available!
There’s nothing better than watching a good sunset. All the colors: orange, red, yellow, pink are a sight to see. The sun blazes across the sky then dips down to sleep on that end of the earth at night.
This new book of poems by award winning poet LB Sedlacek involves the setting sun as well as place poems in Charleston and Daniel Island, South Carolina as well as the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina and West Virginia.
There’s just something about watching the sunset. Take time to stop and watch the sunset wherever you are!
